Wes R. Pedersen, MD: FACC, FAHA, FSCAI: Founder and Manager

Dr. Pedersen, a retired cardiologist of 30 years, was the previous Director of Transcatheter Valve Therapies at the Minneapolis Heart Institute at Abott Northwestern Hospital and was the Co-Founder and CMO of InterValve Inc. Dr. Pedersen worked with Lake Regions Medical to design the most commonly used TAVR guide wire worldwide. He served as an investigator for multiple transcatheter clinical trials in valvular heart disease, including RADAR, Everest II, VIVID, REALISM, CoAPT, PARTNER II, and Reprise III. Dr. Pedersen published numerous articles and co-authored books in transcatheter based therapy, and has been a regular faculty participant at TCT, TVT, and ACC. He performed the first in man i-Coapsis mitral valve repair implant and the first US transcatheter mitral valve implant using the Tendyne Device.
